Motherload

Motherload is an exploration of growth and overwhelming change associated with pregnancy. Society has certain expectations for couples entering this phase of their life; Pregnancy should involve joyous feelings, smiling expressions, and lovely round bellies. Any doubts, worries, leaky nipples and urinary incontinence are to be ignored and kept private. Pregnancy scales a complex emotional gamut, which is not fully represented in our culture. The imagery of Motherload seeks to capture this complexity and its impact on my relationship with my husband.
